Pulp, paper, & cellulose industry

In the pulp, paper, and cellulose industry, wear occurs where material flows are most intense. Hardface protects and reinforces critical components such as screws, wear liners, rotary feeders, chutes, shafts, and piping systems handling bark, fuel, ash, sand, and lime. By applying optimized wear surfaces tailored to each operating condition, we extend service life, reduce maintenance needs, and ensure stable, uninterrupted operation with longer intervals between overhauls.

Maximize the service life of your equipment with Hardface materials

Our materials protect critical surfaces from wear. Our solutions maximize service life, sustain productivity, and minimize downtime - reducing the need for costly maintenance.
Hardface Plate - Chromium Carbide Overlay Plate
Chromium carbide overlay plate, commonly known today as “Hardface Plate”, is a highly cost-effective wear-resistant material that can be formed and fabricated into almost any shape or configuration. The plate consists of a structural steel base plate with a hardfacing weld overlay applied on an industrial scale. The base material can be either carbon steel or stainless steel. The weld overlay is applied in one or more layers, with a wide range of alloys available to meet different performance requirements. We offer custom manufacturing based on your drawings, supplying either semi-finished products or fully finished components. If you don't have technical drawings, we can recreate your components through reverse engineering using 3D scanning and CAD technology. We source materials from leading European manufacturers and offer a comprehensive product range to meet the needs of your projects. Naturally, we also supply our own standard Hardface Plate, stocked locally in Sweden and available at highly competitive prices. In collaboration with Meltolit, we have developed optimised welding consumables specifically suited to our plates, both for joining and for hardfacing and repair applications.
Ferobide
Regardless of the operating environment, Ferobide remains strong and durable, withstanding the abrasive effects of rock, coal, sand, scrap metal, minerals and other abrasive materials. Field tests have demonstrated that Ferobide helps extend service intervals for components and equipment exposed to these demanding conditions on a daily basis. In sliding wear applications, Ferobide provides exceptional wear protection, far outperforming conventional materials.
Ceramic Materials
Hardface Ceramics are designed for extremely aggressive wear environments where heavy flows of coarse materials subject equipment to severe impact and mechanical stress. Hardface Ceramics provide superior wear resistance, increased payload capacity and significantly extended service life.
Polyurethane
Polyurethane is a durable and flexible material with excellent resistance to abrasion, impact and vibration. It is used in demanding industrial environments where long service life and reduced maintenance are essential.
We are a Swedish distributor of engineering plastics. Hardface also has extensive knowledge and experience in fluoropolymer systems, silicones and other polymer-based coatings, as well as ceramics and carbides in various forms, all designed to provide effective protection against wear.
PTA Welding & Thermal Spraying
PTA hardfacing creates a wear-resistant metal layer that is metallurgically bonded to the base material. PTA is ideal for both reinforcing new components and restoring worn parts.
